Unabated Review: Simulators And Pro Tools At $99 To $799 A Month, Priced Against OddsJam
Unabated sells props, simulators, DFS entry building and an odds API from $99 a month. We look at the plan ladder, the free calculators and who earns that fee back.
Our score
7.7/10Rated 7.7 out of 10
Verdict
Unabated is a modelling and education product for people who already bet props at volume, and the price assumes you do. The simulators, the DFS Entry Builder and the free calculators are well built. We could not find an independent head-to-head with OddsJam, so we make no claim that it wins that contest, only that it is aimed at a different kind of bettor.
Best for
High-volume prop and futures bettors who want models
Free no-vig, hedge, teaser and odds-converter calculators are useful without a subscription
DFS Entry Builder covers pick'em slips, a use case many odds tools ignore
NFL and college football futures simulators give season-long probabilities for futures prices
A 14-day money-back guarantee for new monthly members limits the downside of trying it
Odds API tiers from free to enterprise, including prediction-market data, suit builders
What held it back
Premium at $199 a month and Concierge at $799 a month only pay back at serious volume
Add-ons are sold separately, such as NBA projections at $249 a month and WNBA at $129
Plan and tier names are spread over a pricing page that is hard to compare at a glance
No independent head-to-head against OddsJam, so claims of better value rest on your own trial
Unabated is not trying to be the cheap tool. It sells to the bettor who has already decided that a few dollars of edge on every prop is worth chasing, and then asks you to prove it with a monthly fee between $99 and $799. That is the lens we used.
Read the price ladder first
The pricing page carries the numbers in its own data. Props+ is $99 a month. Premium is $199 a month. Concierge is $799 a month. Annual versions are listed lower, at $83, $167 and $667 respectively, which we read as a per-month rate on a yearly plan; confirm the billing at checkout, because the page does not make that obvious.
The pricing page: three headline prices and a 14-day money-back guarantee for monthly plans.
There is more underneath. Sport-specific products are sold on their own: NBA projections at $249 a month or $699 for the season, WNBA projections at $129 monthly or $499 for the season, NBA news at $149 a month, and Tennisform at $55 a month. New monthly members get a 14-day money-back guarantee if they write to support within the first 14 days, with terms and conditions applying.
The break-even maths is simple, and a little uncomfortable. At $199 a month, you need to win about $200 more than you would have without the tool. A bettor who stakes $50 per prop and gains one cent on the dollar needs 400 bets a month to cover Premium. If you place thirty bets a month, the subscription is a hobby fee.
The free calculators are a fair trial
You can learn most of what Unabated believes without paying. The no-vig calculator strips the bookmaker's margin from a two-sided market so you can see what the market thinks is the true price.
The No-Vig Fair Odds Calculator, one of the free tools on the main site.
The same section holds hedge, teaser, alt-line, closing line value and partial-game derivative calculators. Closing line value is the useful one: it tells you whether your bets beat the price at game time, which is a better test of skill than a winning month.
The modelling suite
The paid core is a set of simulators and rating tools. The futures simulators cover NFL and college football, and they let you compare a model's season probabilities against futures prices.
The futures simulator page covers NFL and college football seasons.
Rufus Peabody is named on the About page as a principal architect of the tools, and the site lists Massey-Peabody ratings, a props simulator and in-play tools alongside the futures sims. The About page does not explain how the simulators work. So the honest position is that we can describe the menu, not audit the model, and you should test it against closing lines before you trust it.
One feature stands out for readers of this site. The DFS Entry Builder is built for pick'em slips.
The DFS Entry Builder is aimed at pick'em slips on apps such as Underdog and PrizePicks.
Most odds tools treat pick'em as an afterthought. Here it gets its own page. If you play pick'em at volume, this is the strongest reason we found to consider the subscription.
The odds API and developers
Unabated also sells data. The odds API page lists a Free API, a Concierge API and enterprise access, and says it connects to sportsbook odds, player props and supported prediction market and DFS pick'em data.
The Odds API page compares the free, concierge and enterprise tiers.
For a hobbyist programmer the free tier is the interesting door. For a business the enterprise route is a separate sales conversation.
Against OddsJam
The angle that brought most readers here is the comparison with OddsJam, and we should be clear about what we do not know. We searched for an independent head-to-head and found none. The one blog post that made the comparison was a single unvetted source, which claimed Unabated is weaker at raw +EV scanning. We would not put weight on that.
What we can say is a difference of emphasis. OddsJam, as RotoWire describes it, aggregates odds across many books and flags discrepancies, with arbitrage and +EV tools. Unabated leans on models, education and calculators. If you want a scanner that shouts when a book is off, start with OddsJam's trial. If you want to build your own view of a number, try Unabated's.
Verdict
We rate Unabated 7.7. The tools are serious, the free layer is generous, and the guarantee lowers the risk of trying it. The price is steep for anyone below high volume, and the pricing page makes comparison harder than it should be.
Buy it if you bet props or pick'em at volume and measure your closing line value. Skip it if you bet a few times a week for fun. Betting carries a real risk of loss, and a tool does not remove it: nothing here is financial advice.
