About us

Marginfold reviews betting products the way a careful bettor uses them: with a funded account, a notebook and a stopwatch.

What we cover

We review US sportsbooks, UK and international bookmakers, betting exchanges, prediction markets, daily fantasy and pick'em apps, horse racing wagering apps and the tools bettors use to compare prices. The site currently carries 50 published reviews across 7 categories.

Every review answers the same practical questions: how much margin is built into the prices, what it costs to move money in and out, how long a withdrawal really takes, and who the product suits.

Who writes it

Reviews are published under one byline, The Marginfold Test Desk. The desk opens its own accounts, passes the same identity checks a reader would, deposits its own money and withdraws it again. When we could not complete a step ourselves, the review says so.

How the site is paid for

Some links to operators may earn us a commission if a reader opens an account. That never changes a score, the order of a ranking or what a review says. Products with no commercial arrangement are reviewed and ranked the same way.

We do not accept payment for reviews, and operators do not see a review before it is published.

Not advice

Betting carries a real risk of losing money. Nothing on this site is financial advice or a tip, and a high score means a product is well run, not that betting with it will make money. Read our method for what a score measures.
