betPARX Review: A Four-State Casino Sportsbook, Judged as a Second Account

betPARX is the online arm of Parx Casino, live in Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. We read its pages and independent reviews to see what it adds as a second account beside a main sportsbook.

out of 10

betPARX is an average-priced sportsbook with a wide in-play menu, Profit Boosts and a casino in the same app, but a dated interface, no live stats and middling app ratings. It works as a second account for bettors in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland or Michigan who want a different house on the lines. It does not suit anyone seeking a rewards program or a reason to leave a larger book.

What works

  • Odds roughly in line with the industry average, per BettingUSA
  • 80+ in-play markets per game on most days, per BettingUSA
  • Profit Boosts listed as a regular promotion
  • Casino and sportsbook run from one app
  • Backed by the Parx casino brand, with retail books in PA and NJ

What does not

  • Only four states on its own state menu
  • Interface described as dated, crowded and slow to load first
  • Instant Betting carries about 9 to 10% vig, per BettingUSA
  • No live stats or game trackers
  • App ratings in reviews vary from 2.1 to 4.2 by state and date

betPARX asks the visitor one question before anything else: which state are you in? The home page is a map of the United States and a "Select State" menu, and the menu offers four choices. Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania. That small list is the first thing to weigh, because a second sportsbook account is only useful if it works where you live and brings something your first account lacks.

A note on method. We read betPARX's own pages, a BettingUSA review and a handful of independent summaries. We did not fund an account, so every price, speed and rating below is quoted from a named source or from betPARX itself.

The four-state footprint

betPARX is the online brand of Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, the company behind Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, whose site credits Greenwood in its 2026 footer. Our brief names Parx Interactive as the maker, and BettingUSA names Greenwood, so we record both. The site lists casino and sportsbook products under a single app, and states that you must be over 21.

For the three states in our brief, the position is simple. Pennsylvania is the home market: Parx opened a retail sportsbook in January 2019, and BettingUSA adds a New Jersey retail book at Freehold Raceway from September 2020. Maryland and Michigan are on the live-state list. We could not find an independent source that confirmed the sportsbook is available in every state on the menu at the same time, so check the menu before registering.

What the prices look like

BettingUSA's review puts betPARX's odds "roughly in line with the industry average, sometimes better and sometimes worse". We read that as the honest summary of a book that runs on a shared pricing platform, and we found no source arguing otherwise. The review says teasers use the Kambi Teaser+ model. A Pennsylvania review elsewhere says the sportsbook and Parx's retail book share one Kambi pricing engine. We did not confirm that for every state.

On in-play, BettingUSA counts upwards of 80 live markets per game on most days and rates that above average. It also reports that the "Instant Betting" feature carries about 9 to 10% of vig, against roughly 5 to 7% on standard in-play markets. If that is right, the quick-bet button costs about twice the margin of the slower route, and we would avoid it. There are no live stats or game trackers.

Offers: read the structure, not the headline

BettingUSA describes the welcome offer as a first cash bet of $10 or more which, if it wins, returns $125 in bonus bets. These arrive as five $25 bonus bets: the first at once, then at 7, 14, 21 and 28 days. Each must be used within seven days of being issued, and a bonus bet returns winnings only, not the stake. No promo code is needed.

Notice what that is. It is a drip of five small tokens tied to a winning first bet, and it forces a week-by-week return to the app. It is not $125 to spend at will. State offers also change often, so treat the figure as a snapshot.

The rest of the promotional pitch is Profit Boosts, which BettingUSA lists as a strength, and the casino integrated into the same app. It also lists the lack of an XClub-style rewards program as a drawback.

The app, and getting paid

Here the sources are weaker, and we say so. BettingUSA rates usability 4.0 out of 5 and the mobile app 3.6, calls the interface dated and crowded, and notes a slow first load. A separate source reports the Maryland app at about 3.0 on Google Play and 2.1 on the Apple App Store at the time of its review, while another lists 4.2 out of 5 for the Pennsylvania App Store version. Those numbers come from different dates and different state apps, so we do not average them. Look at the current ratings in your own state.

Payment methods listed by BettingUSA are PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, ACH, Skrill, Paysafecard, VIP Preferred, Discover and bank wire. Withdrawal times vary by source: under an hour for e-wallets in one, 24 to 72 hours typical in a Pennsylvania review, up to 36 hours in a casino-focused one. These are affiliate sites. The only firm statement we can make is that the time depends on method, so request a small withdrawal early to see how it goes.

Is it a worthwhile second account?

For a Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Maryland bettor who already has a main book, our answer is a qualified yes, for three reasons: it adds a different house on the lines, it offers boosts, and the casino sits in the same app, which only matters if you play casino games too. It is not a reason to leave a larger book, because we found no evidence of a price or feature edge, and the app review scores are middling.

It does not suit anyone who wants live stats, a rewards program, or the deepest same-game parlay menus. Nor is it an option outside the four states on the menu.

Wagering is entertainment with a cost, not income. Only stake what you can afford to lose. If gambling is causing harm, call 1-800-GAMBLER; you must be 21 or over.
