PROLINE+ ReviewOntario's Government Sportsbook Priced Well, Thin on Markets
OLG's PROLINE+ competes with private Ontario books. We read its game conditions, reward rules and independent reviews to judge the odds, the $1,000,000 payout cap and the thinner market menu.

Verdict: A competent provincial sportsbook with sharp headline prices of about 1.91 on major-league spreads, clear published limits and useful boosts. Market depth is far below the big private books, there is no streaming, payment choice is narrow, and OLG keeps wide powers over limits and results.
Best for: Ontario bettors on mainstream NHL, NFL, NBA and MLB lines
Visit siteEvery other sportsbook in Ontario is a private company with a licence. PROLINE+ is the province's own. OLG, a government agency, runs the same lottery counters where people buy scratch tickets, and it also runs an online book that competes with bet365 and FanDuel for the same wallets. The obvious question is whether public ownership buys you anything. This review uses OLG's published game conditions, reward pages and independent write-ups. We did not fund an account for it.
What the state-run label does and does not give you
It gives you a familiar counterparty. There is no offshore entity to chase, the age limit is the Ontario standard of 19 for online betting, and responsible-gambling tools such as My PlayBreak and the ConnexOntario helpline (1-866-531-2600) sit in the page footer.
It does not give you better prices by default, and it does not remove the operator's power over your bet. OLG's game conditions say the Corporation alone decides results, with no appeal, and may limit payouts, cap the picks in a parlay and change limits on any selection without notice. Private books write similar clauses. The difference is that here the book is also the lottery.

The numbers in the rulebook
The rules give you more hard figures than the marketing does.
Stake range: $0.10 minimum, $50,000 maximum, with discretion to accept more.
Payout cap: $1,000,000 per transaction or per 24-hour period, unless OLG allows more.
Wagers are final. Refunds happen only where the law requires them.
Voids: a void single is refunded, while a void parlay leg just drops out and the parlay carries on with the original stake.
Settlement: unless a market says otherwise, bets settle on regular time, so overtime is excluded.
None of those limits will trouble a recreational bettor. The $1,000,000 cap only matters on a long-shot parlay, and it is worth knowing that a very large winning slip may not pay in full.
Odds: sharp where it counts
Reviewers describe the pricing as strong on the big leagues. Gambling.com says NHL, NFL, NBA and MLB spreads often sit at 1.91 on each side. That is the decimal form of -110, which carries about 4.7% overround, and it matches what the large US-style books show on the same lines. Other write-ups say margins widen on smaller events, which is a normal pattern but one we have no figures to quantify.
We found no head-to-head price study against bet365 or FanDuel, so we will not claim PROLINE+ beats them. The fair reading is "competitive on headline markets, unproven elsewhere".
The market count is where it shows its age. Gambling.com counts 50 to 60 markets on an NHL game and about 80 on an NFL game, against roughly 200 for the same NFL game at DraftKings. It reports about 16 sports and same-game parlays on four of them. Fewer prop choices means fewer places to find an edge, and fewer places to make an expensive mistake.
Rewards and cash out
The rewards page lists four types. A Profit Boost lifts the odds by a set percentage: its example takes a 30% boost on a 1.87 moneyline to 2.13, so a $5 bet returns $10.65 instead of $9.35. Second Chance Bets return a lost stake as a Sports Bonus Bet. Parlay Protect returns 100% of a parlay as a bonus bet when exactly one leg fails. Bonus bets do not return the stake.

Read the small print twice. Only one reward can go on a betslip, it cannot be mixed with cash funds, and cashing out forfeits it. Cash out itself works on selected markets before and during the game, on singles and parlays, but the value can be less than your stake, a delayed request is refused if the market closes, and a completed cash out is final.
The app and the missing pieces
OLG's app page promises more same-game parlay choices, live bet alerts and sign-in by fingerprint, and it lets you scan retail tickets in store. Gambling.com rates the app 7 out of 10, calling it functional but less polished than rivals, with limited live stats and no streaming. It also notes fewer payment methods than competitors; we found no published withdrawal times.

Who should use it
Use PROLINE+ if you are in Ontario, bet mainly on NHL, NFL, NBA or MLB sides and totals, and like the idea of a provincial operator with a retail link. Skip it if you want deep prop menus, streaming or the widest rewards.
It is still betting. The house edge is real on every line, PROLINE+ can limit payouts and parlay picks, and no sportsbook is a way to make money. If betting is hurting your life or budget, call ConnexOntario on 1-866-531-2600.
