Verdict: Neds is a strong racing app with real extras: streams on thoroughbred, greyhound and harness, Same Race Multi, and groups where you share and copy bets. A reported $200,000 cap on wins and slower sports depth keep it behind the best. Pick it for racing and social betting, and keep Sportsbet for sports volume.
Best for: Australian racing punters who like sharing and copying bets
Visit siteNeds sells a simple idea: racing first, mates second. Whether that beats Sportsbet depends on what you do on a Saturday, so we compared the two on the things that change a punter's week. Neds is an Entain brand, and the App Store lists Neds International Pty. Ltd. as its developer.
Gambling can lose you money you cannot spare, and in Australia the BetStop register and the 1800 858 858 helpline exist for good reason. This review describes a product, not a way to profit.
The racing case
Neds' own App Store text promises live racing on all three codes (thoroughbred, greyhound and harness) from the app or desktop. A third-party review is less generous, saying streaming covers big racing events and that sport has no stream at all, and another source says only horse and greyhound races are streamed. We cannot reconcile those, so check the meeting you care about before you rely on the picture.
Two racing tools stand out in the listing. Same Race Multi lets you pick two to four runners to finish anywhere in the top four of one race, with bigger odds as you add runners, from about an hour before the meeting. Place+ lets you back a runner for a place across more finishing spots than the usual top three. The listing also describes Bet Live, a way to bet after the jump on thoroughbred and harness races.

Sharing bets is the real difference
Sportsbet's version of this is Bet With Mates. Neds has Groups, where you chat, share and copy bets and can place group bets inside the app, and Open Groups, where thousands of strangers swap tips. Eligibility rules apply, as the listing says.
Social features are not neutral. Copying a stranger's bet because the group is excited is a quick way to stake more than you planned. If you use them, set a deposit limit first and leave the follow button alone for a month.

Multis, and where they run out
Neds offers Same Game Multi, and a Multi Builder that one review says stacks up to 16 legs, including legs from different games. A SGM Bet Tracker follows each leg once you have placed the bet.

Sportsbet has the same tracker idea, plus a larger menu. A comparison review counts about 30 sports at Neds, just short of Sportsbet and bet365, and rates its variety at 3.5 out of 5. Australian rules, NRL and the Melbourne Cup are covered. Niche markets are thinner.
One rule applies to every Australian online book: in-play sports bets must be placed by phone, not through the app, a point made by BettingPro. Neds is no exception.
Money in and out
The same review gives the minimum deposit as $10, with Visa, Mastercard, PayID, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Withdrawals to a bank run several times a day, seven days a week, with transfers sometimes arriving in hours. A Neds Card is reported instant, and PayPal within 24 hours if you deposited that way. The FAQ states one to three business days, which is the safer number to plan on.
Bonus bets here are plain. There is no promo code, and offers show only after you log in. Reported terms are 1x rollover at odds of 1.5 or higher.
The caps that matter to winners
This is where we would pay closest attention. The same review reports a maximum win of $200,000 per race or multi, a withdrawal cap of $500,000 per 24 hours, and bet limits of 50 cents to $1,000 a slip. Those are reported numbers, not figures we could find in Neds' own pages. If you win often, ask support for the current limits in writing before you stake much.
Ratings, support and the honest limits of this review
Most of what we know about Neds' money handling comes from one affiliate-funded review and the app's own store text. We did not see the live odds, so we cannot say whether Neds prices a given race better than Sportsbet. The easy check is free: open both apps before a Saturday meeting, note the fixed-win price on the same runner and the multi price on the same three legs, and see which is longer more often than not.
Help and support

The listing rates the app about 4.6 from 5,121 ratings. A review site scores customer support 4.5 out of 5 but payout speed only 3.0.
Verdict
Pick Neds if you bet racing most weeks, want a stream and a multi tool built for runners, and enjoy a group. Stay with Sportsbet if you want the widest sports menu and the biggest brand. Our rating is 7.2.
