theScore Bet Casino review: a real Ontario casino app that still talks like a sportsbook
theScore Bet's casino runs as its own app in Ontario, with 1,500+ games reported, $10 minimums and withdrawals that can take up to 72 hours to process. We check what is solid and what is thin.
A credible, regulated casino product with a big lobby, $10 minimums and sensible payment options, built by a company that runs casinos for a living. The reasons to hold back are practical: processing can take up to 72 hours before a transfer even starts, bonus terms are hard to find, and most coverage still treats it as a sportsbook.

The question with any sportsbook that adds a casino is whether the casino was built or merely bolted on. With theScore Bet in Ontario, the evidence points to built. PENN Entertainment, which owns theScore Bet, launched a standalone iCasino app for the province, so you do not have to hunt for the slots behind a betting slip.
A note on method. We read the help centre, the regulator-facing coverage and the independent reviews, and captured what we could. The figures below are attributed to those sources. None comes from a withdrawal we made ourselves, and the reviews we found are mostly affiliate pages, so we say where they disagree.
What a standalone app buys you
A separate app means separate navigation, separate game search and a lobby organised around casino play. PENN also runs its own game studio, which is the usual route to exclusive titles. The Lines counts more than 1,500 games with providers such as Big Time Gaming, Blueprint, Hacksaw Gaming, IGT, Relax Gaming and Wazdan. Casinos.com puts the Alberta launch lobby at 1,200+ titles, 250+ of them jackpots, with a live section of 180+ tables from Evolution, Playtech and Pragmatic Play Live.
Treat those as two different lobbies, because licensing is provincial and each province approves its own game list. The first number is a reviewer's count and the second describes a market that opened on 13 July 2026. Ontario's list may differ from both.
The cashier is where the rules show up
The help centre is the best document we found, and it is plain. Ontario withdrawals go back through Visa debit, Trustly, Interac, PayPal or EFT. The minimum is $10 on every option. You must upload government-issued ID before you can take money out.

Then comes timing. Requests can take up to 72 hours to process, after which the transfer needs one to three business days depending on the method. That is a worst case of roughly six days from tap to bank. The Lines reports faster figures for Alberta: Interac and PayPal within 24 hours, Trustly and Visa in three to five business days. Casinos.com adds a 24-hour review before processing begins there. If you want to be paid on a Friday for a Thursday night, none of these numbers help.
Fast payout is not a virtue in itself. A review window and a mandatory ID check exist partly to stop problem play and fraud, and we would rather see them than not. The complaint is only that the 72-hour ceiling is long next to e-wallet-first rivals.
Sportsbook DNA in the coverage, and the missing welcome terms
Search for the casino and you mostly land on sportsbook pages. Deadspin's review of theScore Bet in Ontario praises the apps and bet types, notes the ID rule, and has nothing to say about slots or tables.

That is a fair summary of the brand's public face. It is also why we could not pin down the casino welcome offer. The Lines showed no offer when we read it and published no wagering terms. Before you deposit, open the promotions page in the app and read the playthrough, the game weighting and the expiry in full. A bonus you cannot read the terms of is a bonus to decline.
Safer-play tools and licensing
In Ontario the casino sits under AGCO rules with iGaming Ontario oversight, which means operator licensing, advertising limits and a province-wide self-exclusion route. The Lines lists deposit limits, cool-off periods and self-exclusion on the Alberta side, where the AGLC regulates. Alberta's registrants must offer deposit limits, session reminders and centralised self-exclusion from day one, according to Casinos.com.

Support is described as 24/7 live chat, email and phone, though Deadspin gives conflicting notes on whether chat sits inside the app.
Who should use it
The short answer is that it earns a place on an Ontario shortlist but not the top of it.
Use it if you are in Ontario, already have a theScore Bet account and want a regulated casino with a large lobby and $10 entry. Skip it if payout speed is your first test, or if you want a clear, citable welcome bonus before you sign up.
The house edge applies to every game in this lobby, with no exceptions: slots, blackjack and live tables all return less than you stake over time. Set deposit limits before you play, treat the money as the cost of entertainment, and stop if play stops being fun. In Canada, ConnexOntario offers free support on 1-866-531-2600.
