DeBank Review: A Complete DeFi Portfolio View, But a Thin Pro Tier
DeBank tracks any wallet across 70+ EVM chains free, with no login needed. The catch: every address searched becomes a public profile, and the paid tier is a status badge, not a data upgrade. We searched a whale wallet and checked what $15 a month buys.
Our verdict
DeBank remains the most complete free window into a multichain DeFi position: paste any address and it breaks down holdings across more than 70 EVM chains, values LP positions and staking correctly, and does it without asking you to connect a wallet. The tradeoff is that every address you look up, including your own if you ever check it, becomes a public profile with followers and a visible net worth. The paid tier barely changes the product; it buys a VIP badge and a custom profile ID, not deeper analytics.
Best for: DeFi users who hold positions across many EVM chains and want a fast, free way to check any address's holdings

What we liked
- Tracks 70+ EVM chains and 1,300+ protocols from a single address search, no wallet connection needed
- Correctly values complex DeFi positions like LP tokens, staking and lending collateral, not just token balances
- Whale-watching is built in: follow any address and see its portfolio update in real time
- No subscription required for the core tracking that most users actually want
What held it back
- Every address searched becomes a public profile, including balances, unless the owner has hidden it
- The paid tier is a $15/month VIP label and a one-time $96 custom ID, not new data or analytics
- Non-EVM chains like Solana and Bitcoin get much thinner coverage than Ethereum-side chains
- The social Stream feed adds noise for anyone who only wants a balance sheet
Type any wallet address into DeBank and you get a complete, correctly valued breakdown of everything it holds across dozens of chains in under two seconds. Type your own address in and the same thing happens to you: your balance, your chain spread and your transaction count become a public page anyone can find, with a follower count attached. That is the deal DeBank asks you to accept, and for most DeFi users tracking their own or someone else's position, it turns out to be worth accepting.
What a search actually returns
We looked up a long-active Ethereum address to see how DeBank handles a genuinely complicated portfolio: dozens of active chains, LP positions, staking and a wallet balance running into seven figures.

The page grouped holdings by chain automatically, showed 58 total chains with a one-click expand for the smaller ones, and separated the raw wallet balance from protocol positions like staking and liquidity pools without us having to dig through a menu. That level of automatic categorization across this many chains is genuinely hard to find anywhere else for free, and it is the core reason DeBank still gets recommended over spreadsheet tracking or a single-chain block explorer.
The privacy tradeoff nobody mentions upfront
Here is the part that is easy to miss until you have already searched your own address: DeBank profiles are public by default. Anyone who knows or guesses your address can see your full net worth, your chain activity and your holdings, the same way we could see a stranger's seven-figure balance above. There is no login wall between a curious visitor and a full portfolio breakdown. If you value not broadcasting your net worth, that is worth knowing before you search your main wallet just to test the tool.

What $15 a month and $96 actually buy
DeBank has no real subscription tier gating the tracking itself. What it sells instead is a $15 monthly bundle that includes a VIP label next to your name, and a one-time $96 fee for a custom Web3 ID instead of a truncated address. Neither purchase unlocks a feature a serious portfolio user would miss; both are closer to a profile badge than a data upgrade. Compare that to Zerion or Zapper, which build their paid layers around API access and deeper analytics rather than cosmetic status, and DeBank's monetization looks thinner by comparison even though its free tracking is arguably stronger.
