NuFACE TRINITY+ Starter Kit Review: Does Daily Microcurrent Really Lift?
A $395 microcurrent wand with a five-minute routine and a clinical claim of visible lift. Early contour changes are plausible and fade fast when you stop, and the kit relies on gel you will keep buying.
Our verdict
The TRINITY+ is a well-built microcurrent device that gives a mild, temporary lift in a five-minute session, and the maker's own regimen of five days a week for 60 days is realistic. Results fade within days of stopping, there is no independent data on lasting change, and you need conductive gel to use it. It is a maintenance habit, not a one-off purchase.
Best forPeople who will use it five days a week for two months
What we liked
- Compact, rechargeable wand with three modes and a boost button for extra power
- Five-minute routine is easy to keep, with app video guides
- FDA-cleared microcurrent, with attachments for eyes, lips and wrinkles sold separately
- Two-year warranty and USB-C charging
What held it back
- $395 up front, plus activator gel you must keep buying
- Visible lift fades within a few days of stopping, per user reports
- Clinical figures come from the maker, not an independent trial
- Current can feel uncomfortable on thin or sensitive skin
If you want a face device to do something in a week, this is not it. If you can commit five minutes a day for two months, the TRINITY+ is a sensible way to try microcurrent at home. The device itself is good. The honest problem is the economics: $395, then gel forever, for an effect that users say fades within days of stopping.
What microcurrent actually claims
Microcurrent sends a very low electrical current through the skin to stimulate the muscles beneath. The maker's explainer is blunt that it is not a quick fix: you would not expect results after one workout, so you should not expect them after one session. Medical use of microcurrent goes back decades, and spas offer it as an in-clinic facial. The TRINITY+ is the home version.

NuFACE says its device can lift, define and tone 69 muscles of the face and neck. On the product page it cites a clinical study in which 91% showed improved cheek contour 15 minutes after treatment, 90% showed a lifted appearance, and 93% saw reduced deep forehead lines after 60 days. Those numbers are the maker's, and they describe appearance rather than a measured change in muscle tone. We treat them as marketing evidence, not proof.
